A conversation about writing with Wesleyan's Distinguished Writer in Residence, Amy Bloom '75. She is the author of the acclaimed novel, Away, and a new novel, Lucky Us, published by Random House in July 2014. Also well known for her three collections of short stories, she has been nominated for both the National Book Award the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her work has appeared in Best American Short Stories, in Prize Stories: The O.Henry Awards, and numerous anthologies here and abroad. She has written for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and the Atlantic Monthly, among other publications, and has received the National Magazine Award. At Wesleyan she teaches courses in writing fiction, writing children's books, and writing for television.
