Choreographer Darrell Jones was a Creative Campus Fellow in Dance at Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts during the 2016-2017 academic year. His fellowship centered around his research in codifying, deconstructing, and experimenting with (e)feminized ritual vocabularies and the influential disciplines that contribute to its widening aesthetic. As part of his fellowship, he taught the course DANC 378: Repertoire and Performance - Sissy Vop Breakdown. He also co-taught cross-disciplinary modules in AMST220: Asian Americans in Pop Culture with Visiting Assistant Professor of American Studies Long Bui; and FGSS200: Sex and Gender in Critical Perspective with Professor of Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Science in Society, and Sociology Victoria Pitts-Taylor.
